Academic Support

Does your child need a little extra time or support with schoolwork? Instructional Extension provides students with an additional opportunity to work on assignments and receive support from teachers after school.

When Is Instructional Extension?

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 4:00–5:00 PM

Begins Tuesday, September 8th.

All sessions are from 4:00–5:00 PM in Room 1073.

September: 8–10, 15–17, 22–24
October: 6–8, 13–15, 20–22, 27–29
November: 3–5, 10–12, 17–19
December: 1–3, 8–10
January: 12–14, 19–21, 26–28
February: 9–11, 17–18, 23–25
March: 2–4, 9–11, 16–18, 23–25
April: 1, 13–15, 20–22, 27–29
May: 4–6, 11–13, 18–20

How does my child sign up?

Teachers will identify and add students to the Instructional Extension attendance list. If you feel your child would benefit from additional support, please reach out to their teacher, particularly the teacher of the class(es) where they may be struggling.

How should my child prepare for the session(s)?

Students should come to Instructional Extension prepared with specific questions, assignments, or topics they need help with. Before attending, students should take some time to organize their materials and identify what they would like to accomplish during the session and they are struggling with. The more specific a student can be about what they need help with, the better the teacher can use the time to provide meaningful support.

If your student is signed up for Instructional Extension, please encourage them to attend and make the most of this opportunity.
