Welcome to Experience Online Testing Georgia!

This practice site is a chance for students to learn more about the structure and content of the Georgia Milestones Assessments, experience online testing, and practice using online tools. Parents and educators are also welcome to explore this site along with the Georgia Department of Education website which provides further information.

The Test Practice, Guides and Samplers icon links to online study guides, online assessment guides, scoring samplers, and demonstration tests. The online study and assessment guides have content instruction as well as practice items for specific grades or courses. The scoring samplers provide a sample of student responses to the writing prompt of the Interpreting & Constructing Texts (ICT) section of the English Language Arts assessment for grades 3, 5, and 8 for End-of-Grade and Literature & Composition II for End-of-Course. The items on the demonstration tests are general and are organized by grade or course in the content areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The guides, scoring samplers, and demonstration tests are not graded, so have fun!

East Forsyth High School is happy to provide an opportunity for students to prepare for the SAT through administration of the Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT/NMSQT® (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test). The PSAT is a preparatory version of the SAT exam. You can only take the PSAT once per year. If you earn a high score on the PSAT your junior year, you could qualify to receive a National Merit Scholarship! Testing your skills in reading, writing, and math, the standard testing time for the PSAT is approximately 2 hours. The test consists of Evidence-Based Reading, Writing and Language, and Math. The PSAT is a digital test conducted in-person within our school classrooms, similar to Milestones.

The PSAT/NMSQT is scheduled to be administered on Friday, October 16th Students will begin testing at 8:25 AM, and the anticipated end time is 11:30 AM. 

If you want your child to take the PSAT/NMSQT, we ask that you register as soon as possible to avoid missing the registration deadline. All 10th Grade Students take the PSAT at no cost, as the PSAT is free for all 10th Grade Students in the State of Georgia. 10th Grade Students do not need to register on Total Registration!

As a part of their participation in PSAT and/or SAT testing, students may be expected to utilize accounts created with the College Board via their official website. These accounts provide students with the ability to register for the PSAT and SAT assessments, as well as other program resources as offered by the College Board. Parents and students should review the College Board privacy policies and collaboratively create and manage this account. This is a Digital Learning Day for all students in Forsyth County.

 INFORMATION BY GRADE LEVEL

NINTH GRADE STUDENTS - Freshmen have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT for $25. Registration and pre-payment for this opportunity is available online through Total Registration. 

TENTH GRADE STUDENTS - Sophomores are automatically registered for the PSAT/NMSQT free of charge. Tenth grade students should plan to report to SCHOOL on 10/16/26 and return home upon completion of the test. Tenth grade students should not register for the test.

ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS - Juniors have the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT for $25. Registration and pre-payment for this opportunity is available online through Total Registration. The PSAT is the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test (NMSQT) for Juniors. Learn more about this distinguished scholarship program. 

TWELFTH GRADE STUDENTS - Seniors are not eligible to take the PSAT. All Seniors may stay home for a day of Virtual Learning, or consider scheduling a college visit.

PSAT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FROM AUGUST 28TH TO SEPTEMBER 18TH

Cost:  $25 for all 9th and 11th Grade Students.

 PSAT ADMINISTRATION

FORSYTH COUNTY SCHOOLS HAS DESIGNATED OCTOBER 16TH AS A DIGITAL LEARNING DAY FOR ALL SCHOOLS. Students not taking the PSAT/NMSQT must stay home to work virtually.

All Part-time and full-time SCHOOL HS Virtual Students are welcome to come to SCHOOL to take the PSAT!  Students MUST be at SCHOOL HS on October 16th at the time listed above for this option.

Testing Room assignments will be communicated to registered test-takers by Monday, October 12th on Student Support Time. Virtual students testing can see their room assignments on test day.

Home school students living in Forsyth County who are interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT may do so this year at North Forsyth High School.

Important Reminders for Testers:

• All students are expected to bring their fully charged, school-issued Chromebook to the exam.
• All students who are testing should report to their testing room by 8:25 AM.
• Use the restroom before arriving at your testing room.
• Bring an approved calculator - see the Student Guide for more information about acceptable calculators.
• Bring several No. 2 pencils.
• Bring a snack/drink for the break.
• Cell phones, smart watches, and smart glasses cannot be used during the testing session and will be collected by proctors.

Student PSAT scores will be available online in early to mid December.

SAT and ACT Information

Why Should I Take the SAT or ACT?

If you plan to attend a four-year college or university after high school, you will likely need to take the SAT or ACT. Students typically take the SAT and/or ACT during the spring of their junior year and the fall of their senior year.

Students planning to participate in Dual Enrollment during their junior or senior year should take the SAT or ACT before the applicable Dual Enrollment deadline.

SAT and ACT Test Preparation Seminars

East Forsyth High School is partnering with Sycamore Learning Company to offer SAT and ACT test preparation seminars during the school day. These live, instructor-led sessions focus on high-yield strategies, time management, and guided practice to help students feel confident and prepared on test day.
